The Nimbus Investment (E45) product – an endowment policy - will be closed on 31 March 2024 to all new business.
Streamlining our endowment solution set
In order to simplify decision-making for you and your client, we decided last year to streamline our Life Endowment solution set and introduce an enhanced Sanlam Wealth Edge Endowment Plan as our flagship endowment offering.
We started this process with the closure of the Cumulus Investments (E40) on the 3rd of July 2023. Given the successful launch of our enhanced Wealth Edge Endowment last year, we are now also closing our Nimbus Endowment (E45). From 01 April 2024 Sanquote desktop will therefore only host the Sanlam Wealth Edge Endowment Plan.
The Sanlam Wealth Edge Endowment Plan: an attractive alternative
The Sanlam Wealth Edge Endowment Plan is an excellent alternative to the Nimbus and Cumulus Investments. Amongst other remarkable benefits, it offers:
- A Wealth Bonus: added upfront as well as after certain investment periods;
- Guided investment choice to simplify decision-making;
- Optional protection against falling markets.
In addition to the attractive features mentioned above, the ABSA fund range will also be added to the investment options to accommodate our ABSA intermediaries. These funds will be available from mid-April.

Nimbus pipeline business
All application forms, quotations and requests for transfers submitted up until 31 March 2024, for which the funds reflect in our bank account by 12 April 2024, will still be issued. Please note that special quote requests must be accompanied by the original quote that was drawn and submitted before 31 March 2024 to glcproductsupport@glacier.co.za.
