Intermediaries with clients invested in the sixth issue of the Glacier Capital Enhancer received some good news last week. This issue, which was exposed to the EuroStoxx 50, ended +21% on 16 May 2023, which means that investors receive a pre-tax return of 75%.
What’s the Glacier Capital Enhancer? A reminder
The GCE is a five-year investment option that provides capital protection as well as an enhanced return with uncapped upside linked to a global portfolio. The GCE investment option is set up in the Glacier Vantage Plan, a sinking fund policy underwritten by Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd and administered by Glacier Financial Solutions (Pty) Ltd.
Options after maturity
Investors can remain invested in the Glacier Vantage Plan (sinking fund policy) or they can invest the proceeds, or a portion of the proceeds, in another suitable solution.
