What I want my daughters to know
As a parent, there’s a never-ending list of things I want my 21-year-old twin daughters to remember as they step into adulthood. From life hacks and family recipes to heartfelt advice and, yes, a bit of nagging, I hope they carry these lessons with them as they carve out their own paths in the world.
But if I had to choose just one nugget of wisdom to pass on, it’s this: dreams stay dreams without a plan.
Whether it’s buying their first car, planning an overseas adventure, saving for a wedding, or one day owning a home, none of these dreams will magically come true on their own. They need a plan and, just as importantly, a financial partner to help them make it happen.
